Health IT Curriculum Resources for Educators
About
The curriculum resources for educators include an expanded set of health IT instructional materials, funded by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), developed to help healthcare professionals and students stay current in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment and deliver care more effectively.
These resources focus on five key areas of modern care delivery: population health, care coordination and interoperable health IT systems, value-based care, healthcare data analytics, and patient-centered care. The topics reflect ongoing priorities in the U.S. healthcare system to promote better care, smarter spending, and healthier communities.
In addition, 20 instructional modules originally developed under ONC’s Curriculum Development Centers program were updated. These materials are relevant for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who use health IT in care delivery, as well as those working in related areas.
To date, these curriculum resources have been used by more than 10,000 educators worldwide and cover topics such as the History of Health IT, Maintenance of Health IT Systems, Management and Leadership for Health IT, The Culture of Healthcare, and more.
Many of these components are over 1 GB in size. Downloading may take up to 10 minutes depending on your connection.
